I remember distinctly the first time I saw Ronan’s Mask pop up on my computer. It was around 10 PM on a Wednesday, a fact I know solely because I had just gotten home and slipped out of my work shoes (mind you, this was during the time I used to have a serving gig and a bad pair of loafers that scratched up my heels). Sitting down at my computer with my dinner, I decided to log into the System to edit some of my information, thinking my next match would not be for another day or so (given it had not been a full calendar week since I had turned down someone who had a… let’s just say very SUGGESTIVE username and a lack of wit to match. When the server opened to a single message floating at the top (“hey!”) and the username blueflannel_stainedplaid, I thought HERE WE GO AGAIN. Was there something in my personality profile that seemed to be asking for guys who refused to age out of their frats?

Lo and behold, the person I would meet was someone quite different than the person I imagined would choose that username… even though the stained plaid flannels later turned out to be real! ;P

Now, it’s been over a year since Ronan and I locked in - and I have created this site (with his permission of course) to share tips about all of the messiness of Masking and Unmasking

~ and every awkward stage in between ~

I try to keep things as honest as I can on here because post-LockingIn is not always a cake walk. But, from the past year, I truly have come to believe that committing to love is not only about helping ourselves be the best we can be as individuals. Partnership is about learning how to give unconditionally to another and, in turn, to society as a whole - and it can also be loads of fun :)
